Elizabeth Halls established Heritage Arts & Leisure in 2005. Her background combines a mixture of business knowledge and specific tourism industry experience to help organisations maximise their potential in many different areas of operation. Elizabeth became general manager of the English Symphony Orchestra in 1996, under the Chairmanship of David James. She then joined marketing and management consultancy MPC Associates in 1998 and in 2001 she became Castle Director at Berkeley Castle where she doubled visitor numbers in 3 years (see Berkeley Castle case study). She then worked as a Business Adviser across both commercial and charitable sectors for Business Link, following two years as adviser-mentor on the tourism-specific Quality at Heart business improvement programme. Over the past 4 years she has worked with over 100 businesses on a one-to-one basis. She is SFEDI accredited and an Associate Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management. Heritage Arts & Leisure works alongside businesses to help identify realistic strategic options for improvement and development and support implementation if required. We also undertake feasibility studies and tourism strategies for wider tourism strategic partnerships and agencies. Heritage Arts & Leisure works with partners to provide total solutions to tourism businesses and is a member of the 360 Tourism Consulting group. Recent and current projects include carrying out customer satisfaction research for a Government agency, a feasibility study for a proposed visitor attraction, creating a marketing strategy for a high-end architectural joinery firm, and conducting a heritage audit for a Heritage Lottery Fund Living Landscape Partnership project. Earlier projects include devising and delivering tourism assessments for ONE North East (with 360 Tourism Consulting), events feasibility study for a major stateley home, and new website and marketing advice for a nationally renowned artist. |
